Endodontic specialist Dr. Candace De Veaux was born in Miami, Florida and raised in various states and countries as an “Army Brat”. Her ‘Old Kentucky Home’ has a special place in her heart. She graduated from North Hardin High School in Kentucky and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
After graduation, she worked for six years as a general dentist (in private practice and in the US Army-Active Duty). After deploying to Afghanistan she attended Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dental Medicine’s Endodontic Residency program and received her Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD). Her master’s research was published in the Anesthesia Progress Journal. She is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve Dental Corps and a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, Georgia Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, National Dental Association and North Georgia Dental Society.
