Dr. Houshiar earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2009. She completed a two-year general dentistry residency at the VA West Los Angeles Healthcare Center, followed by postdoctoral residency study at the University of Connecticut, where she earned her pediatric dentistry credential. Dr. Houshiar thinks that providing high-quality, evidence-based dentistry necessitates ongoing learning and knowledge upgrading.
