I am a patient here when there was another doctor, a guy who helped me. My family member went to Dr. Ahn, a woman. She was in pain. I went with her because I was helping with the driving. What I understand is her prior treatment plan from Dr. Ahn said she needed multiple crowns. Fine. One of her tooth was very sensitive and starting to hurt.
Unfortunately my family and I were met with hostility by the office team. Especially Dr. Ahn. Who was extremely weird acting when we asked if there could be something done like using a stronger glue because the temporary kept falling out. Her gaze felt mocking towards us for asking such a question. It was a normal question we asked about the glue being used. We explained last time we had been out of town the temporary fell out. Then after my family got it fixed it fell out again two days after. She obviously didn’t want the inconvenience of the temporary falling out. However Dr. Ahn’s body language acted like we were questioning her capabilities. We tried to further explain the temporary fell out and had to be replaced multiple times. And I shared with Dr. Ahn that other offices I’d been to it wasn’t as common.
Dr. Ahn gazed at us with such contempt and mouthed something under her breath like, you can go to another office. But then caught herself before fully saying it out loud mocking us again with her hostile gaze.
At that point we asked to see the finance person to approve the work. My family was in pain. Everything seemed fine.
1. Instead of treating the question as an opportunity what can be done like a normal doctor’s office. Dr. Ahn chose emotional violence. And by that I mean she went to the front desk and told them she didn’t want to help my family.
2. Drama. The front desk lady named Mariana then came in and asked us to leave. Saying Dr. Ahn didn’t feel comfortable helping us. How strange again. Aren’t doctors trained to be a source of information? What happened to us was not typical of a professional office. Dr. Ahn instead chose to act like a professional with a bruised ego who doesn’t seem to care about the patient or their pain. Why is she in the business? Why would she take offense to the glue question?
3. My family and I were sharing the experience and looking to Dr. Ahn for a work-around. With that said, I do not advise going to this office if you have pain or have questions. You could be met with hostile energy and may be asked to leave if your questions annoy them. The hostility may have been racially motivated against us. The way it was handled seems to be no other conclusion but racially charged hostility at that Sepulveda office. The behavior by Dr. Ahn as a professional was simply unacceptable. She chose to gaslight my family vs being helpful. Then Dr. Ahn had a staff member carry out her hostility towards us.
4. Ironically, I took my family to another office. That doctor disagreed with the Dr. Ahn that a crown was necessary before suggesting we see another doctor about a potential root canal for pain. Could Dr. Ahn be artificially inflating the need for crowns? It was 8000 dollars worth of dental work she was pushing my family to do. When myself and my family pushed back due to immediate costs, Dr. Ahn almost seemed offended. This should be investigated.
Dr. Ahn does not own that office, she works under Assure Dental. But you would not think so the way the staff cowers around her and treats her word as a God. Thank goodness we didn’t get the crown that day until we got a second opinion about the root canal.
Maybe this office likes to tell people they need some services when they really don’t. I’ve read that others have complained in their reviews about this office too.

I have full documentation to backup an incident that happened on June 24, 2026. Dr. Ahn, Mariana (front desk lady) and their management treated a patient in acute pain passive aggressively. If you pay for a procedure you shouldn’t be gaslighted for asking questions especially if you’re asking about the materials. They use questionable materials so the temporary crown keeps falling out. If you ask them about it they will ask you to leave and not work on your teeth even if you have acute pain and there for an emergency visit. This is illegal in California and Dr. Ahn is being reported to the dental license board for patient abandonment. Her lack of professional ethics should be a public mark against her record.
