Dr. Stephanie Janes is originally from Metro Detroit and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in psychology from the University of Michigan. Upon graduation, she moved to Bradenton, FL to study dentistry as part of the inaugural class at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), School of Dental Medicine, earning a D.M.D degree. While at LECOM, she was a dual-enrolled student and also earned a Master’s degree in Health Service Administration. On behalf of the International College of Dentists, she received the Humanitarian Award.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Stephanie moved to Chicago and completed a General Practice Residency through the University of Chicago at NorthShore University HealthSystem – Evanston Hospital. She gained hospital dentistry experience with a focus on medically compromised patients and emergency dentistry. Through the residency program, she was able to enhance her comprehensive dental skills, especially in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. She is also certified and passionate in therapeutic botox and dermal filler treatments to relieve bruxism (clenching and grinding) and TMJ pains.
In her spare time, Dr. Stephanie enjoys rooting on the Michigan Wolverine football team. Go Blue! She is passionate about volunteering with the underserved and expresses her creativity through scrapbooking and other Cricut craft projects. She and her husband love trying different restaurants in the Tri-Cities, going to the theater for plays and musicals, and traveling to new destinations. They have a 2-year-old daughter and enjoy watching her learn and grow every day.
