Dr. Robert Korngut graduated with honors from NYU in 1977 and completed a hospital residency in 1978. He volunteered at Catholic Charities in Brooklyn and treated developmentally disabled patients for 18 years. That was in addition to teaching at the general practice residency at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. In 2000 he was asked by the Chief of Sleep Medicine at Methodist to join their team. In 2007 he was one of the first dentists to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
