For seventeen years Dr. Luis Crespo has dedicated his career to caring for underserved and underprivileged children all over the world. Whether it is the jungles of Guatemala, orphanages in Bolivia, Aboriginal communities in Outback Australia, or even monasteries in Tibet he always strives to provide quality dentistry for his patients. A firm believer in holistic health and nutrition, Dr. Crespo goes the extra mile to educate his patients on the benefits of adopting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He puts a particular emphasis on the important connection that teeth have on the rest of the body and uses that knowledge to ensure the healthiest outcomes for those he serves.
Dr.Crespo’s experience practicing dentistry both in the United States and around the world strengthened his dedication to public health dentistry and providing services for those less fortunate. As a bi-lingual practitioner, he was able to easily extend his practice to include those who solely spoke and understood Spanish. Seeking to align his personal beliefs with his professional practice led him to make the natural transition to holistic dentistry. Acknowledging prevention as the best medicine, he strives to educate patients and parents alike on the benefits of maintaining a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Dr. Crespo welcomes and encourages parents to initiate dental care when children are just infants. His experience has taught him that educating parents early results in children establishing effective habits for lifelong health. This early launch also provides an essential opportunity to build trust and positive relationships with both patients and parents alike.
His goal is to provide oral and overall health education throughout the early years of development and at the same time expose children to the dental office setting. By doing so he hopes to get young patients acclimated so if the need arises in the future they will feel more secure about where they are going and who they are going to see. Dr. Crespo aspires to create a culture that going to the dentist is and can be a positive experience. He works on an individual basis to ensure his young patient’s trust and confidence in him, but even more importantly, in themselves.
